The Table

The Vaccine Injury Table.

A regulation listing which injuries, after which vaccines, inside which time windows, are presumed to be caused by the vaccine. Inside the window, the government has to disprove it. Outside it, you have to prove it — still possible, just harder.

Plain-English restatement of 42 CFR § 100.3(a) as in force 2026-08-01. Each injury has a detailed legal definition in paragraph (c) of the regulation — "encephalopathy" and "SIRVA" in particular are defined narrowly. Any acute complication or sequela of a listed injury, including death, counts as a Table injury. COVID-19 vaccines are not on the Table; see COVID-19 vaccine injuries.

Your injury isn't on the Table?

Roughly half of compensated claims are off-Table. It means more work, not no case. An attorney can tell you in one conversation whether similar cases have been paid.
